IRIS Rev.03 Awareness Training

The expertise of system implementors are crucial to the performance of any quality management system, leading ultimately to the success of organizations. In pursuit of the global movement on ‘Quality System’, railway system integrators and their supply chains throughout the world have adopted ISO/TS 22163:2017 (IRIS Rev.03) standard to achieve excellence in quality management. With growing competition in national and international markets it has become an important task to meet the challenges of quality risk minimization.

This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to implement and practice the management systems against the requirements of the ISO / TS 22613:2017 and related standards. DNVGL’s training program is designed to help you meet the most up-to-date requirements of the railway industry and improve your performance.   • Question type and its impact on overall performance of the organization.
  • IRIS scoring including performance benchmarking, customer perception measurement and critical process description


Day 2:

  • IRIS fundamentals & system requirements

Process introduction to special requirement of the standard:

  • Safety Critical Items
  • Railway RAMS
  • Project Management
  • First Article Inspection
  • Obsolescence Management

Expected outcome of this program:

  • Understanding risk-based thinking.

  • Understanding the linkages between organization context, needs and expectations of the interested parties with the organization business processes.  

  • Understanding about how to design a business process. 

  • Understanding customer specific requirements and implementation. 

  • Understanding about how to implement these requirements effectively at your organization. 

  • Understanding how to perform process and risk based internal audit and nonconformity management. 

  • A step by step understanding of each requirement of this standard.
